Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is open to qualified and motivated individuals who meet the following requirements:- Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4)
- Certificate in Social Auxiliary Work (NQF Level 5) – compulsory
- Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Auxiliary Worker
- At least 1 year of experience in community development, social services, or GBVF programmes (advantage)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse communities
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours
- Valid driver’s license (advantage)
- Basic computer literacy (advantage)
- Commitment to the values and mission of the organisation
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:- Providing basic psychosocial support and referrals to individuals and families
- Conducting community outreach and awareness campaigns on GBVF and related issues
- Assisting in facilitating support groups and community activities
- Identifying and reporting cases of GBVF and other social challenges
- Maintaining accurate records and submitting reports
- Supporting clients in accessing available services and resources
- Collaborating with Social Workers, team members, and stakeholders
- Promoting the organisation’s values, vision, and mission
