Dangote Industries Limited, a leading industrial conglomerate in Africa, seeks a Regional Sales Manager to oversee and drive sales performance in the assigned region. This role focuses on achieving revenue targets, strengthening customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet regional revenue and target objectives
  • Participate in goal-setting and agree on sales goals with Area Sales Officers
  • Create regional sales work plans for adoption by Area Sales Officers
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of the area sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Identify new revenue streams and recommend strategies to Head of Sales and Marketing
  • Review and monitor performance of regional sales team against targets
  • Build and manage long-term relationships with strategic and key customers
  • Maintain and manage the region’s customer database to support sales initiatives
  • Support sales officers in resolving escalated sales and customer-related issues
  • Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional activities
  • Evaluate market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and identify growth opportunities
  • Conduct demand planning and forecasting to ensure product availability
  • Implement strategies to enhance distributor loyalty
  • Oversee preparation and monitoring of regional monthly and annual budgets
  • Authorize expenses in line with approved budgets and authority manuals
  • Collate periodic sales reports for review by DCP Tanzania Management

Professional Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Marketing
  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience, including at least 4 years as a Sales Manager
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Commercially oriented with a proven track record of meeting sales goals
  • Skilled in sales planning, data analysis, and budget management
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team

This role is ideal for experienced sales leaders with a strong understanding of regional sales strategy, customer relationship management, and team leadership.
