Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet regional revenue and target objectives
- Participate in goal-setting and agree on sales goals with Area Sales Officers
- Create regional sales work plans for adoption by Area Sales Officers
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of the area sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Identify new revenue streams and recommend strategies to Head of Sales and Marketing
- Review and monitor performance of regional sales team against targets
- Build and manage long-term relationships with strategic and key customers
- Maintain and manage the region’s customer database to support sales initiatives
- Support sales officers in resolving escalated sales and customer-related issues
- Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional activities
- Evaluate market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and identify growth opportunities
- Conduct demand planning and forecasting to ensure product availability
- Implement strategies to enhance distributor loyalty
- Oversee preparation and monitoring of regional monthly and annual budgets
- Authorize expenses in line with approved budgets and authority manuals
- Collate periodic sales reports for review by DCP Tanzania Management
Professional Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Marketing
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of work experience, including at least 4 years as a Sales Manager
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Commercially oriented with a proven track record of meeting sales goals
- Skilled in sales planning, data analysis, and budget management
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team
