Job Purpose
The role focuses on managing migration health services, ensuring compliance with international medical standards, and supporting health assessments for migrants and refugees.Key Responsibilities
Health Assessment & Clinical Services
- Conduct medical examinations, imaging, and laboratory testing
- Manage vaccinations, TB treatment, and referrals
- Support HIV counselling and STI treatment programs
- Oversee pre-departure medical procedures and documentation
Quality Assurance & Data Management
- Ensure accurate recording of patient data in systems like MiMOSA
- Maintain quality standards and implement SOPs
- Conduct audits and monitor performance indicators
- Analyze health data and provide reports
Operations & Coordination
- Ensure efficient daily operations of MHAC
- Coordinate with the Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO)
- Oversee procurement of medical supplies and equipment
- Support budgeting and financial monitoring
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to international health protocols
- Manage incident reporting and risk mitigation
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
Qualifications
Education
- University Degree in Medicine from an accredited institution
- Valid license to practice in Tanzania (mandatory)
Experience
- At least 4 years of clinical experience
- Recent experience in a hospital or multidisciplinary setting
- Knowledge of clinical medicine and patient care
- Experience in public health or healthcare management is an advantage
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of patient safety and infection prevention
- Data analysis and reporting skills
Languages
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili is required
