About the Role​

Under the supervision of the Procurement and Logistics Officer, the intern will support administrative, procurement, finance, and operational functions to ensure smooth office operations and effective programme delivery.

This role offers exposure to UN systems, project coordination, and development programmes aligned with global goals.

Key Responsibilities​

Procurement Support​

  • Prepare authorization documents for customs clearance
  • Conduct inventory verification and prepare reports
  • Support procurement meetings and vendor payment documentation
  • Maintain proper filing of procurement documents
  • Monitor and initiate procurement of office supplies

Administration and Human Resources​

  • Prepare official letters for visas and permits
  • Support data collection for reporting purposes
  • Assist in asset management and recruitment tracking
  • Update staff training records

Office Store Management​

  • Ensure proper categorization of stored materials
  • Report expired or overstocked items
  • Support disposal of unused materials
  • Prepare supply projections and store management procedures

Finance Support​

  • Manage VAT claim documentation and reconciliation
  • Compile and verify tax invoices
  • Prepare documents for submission to TRA
  • Follow up on VAT refunds

Other Duties​

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements​

Educational Requirements​

Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme (after completing at least one year)
  • Enrolled in a postgraduate programme
  • Recent graduate (within one year)
  • Enrolled in a professional trainee programme

Academic Background​

  • Advanced Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
