- Academic and professional qualifications in Auditing or Accounting (CPA, ACCA, or CIA required)
- Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in auditing, preferably in banking or microfinance institutions
- At least 5 years in a senior management role
- Strong knowledge of Global Internal Audit Standards
- Proven experience in financial management, control, planning, and administration
- Preparing and presenting the annual Audit Plan to Senior Management and the Board Audit and Risk Committee
- Evaluating risk exposure in relation to the organization’s strategic objectives
- Assessing the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information
- Reviewing systems to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
- Evaluating operational performance to ensure alignment with established goals and plans
- Preparing and issuing quarterly audit reports to the Board Audit and Risk Committee, including follow-up on management actions
