Integrated Service Excellence Programme 2026 for Unemployed Youth in South Africa​

The Department of Tourism, in partnership with the Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator and South African National Parks, is inviting unemployed young South Africans to apply for the Integrated Service Excellence Programme 2026.

This exciting programme is designed to provide young people with practical experience and skills in the tourism, hospitality, and environmental sectors, helping them improve their employability and gain valuable workplace exposure.

Programme Details​

  • Position: Integrated Service Excellence Programme
  • Contract Duration: 12 Months
  • Monthly Stipend: R4,600
  • Location: Various participating national parks in the Western Cape
  • Application Closing Date: 10 July 2026

Participating National Parks​

The programme will be hosted at the following national parks:

  • Agulhas National Park
  • Bontebok National Park
  • Table Mountain National Park
  • West Coast National Park
  • Tankwa Karoo National Park
  • Karoo National Park
  • Knysna National Park
  • Wilderness National Park

Who Can Apply?​

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • Have a Matric Certificate.
  • Submit a certified copy of their South African ID.
  • Provide proof of residence.
  • Live within a 30-kilometre radius of the participating parks and surrounding communities.
  • Have a passion for tourism, travel, hospitality, and environmental conservation.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Have a clear criminal record.
  • Declare if they have previously participated in any Department of Tourism learnership or skills programme.
