Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Plan and deliver lessons using modern teaching tools
- Set up workbooks and measure academic improvement and learner achievement
- Implement and adjust term plans to support class pace and lesson availability
- Provide provisions for revision and parent-learner meetings
Classroom Management
- Organize classroom design for optimal learning performance
- Maintain discipline and ensure effective communication with learners and parents
Assessment & Homework
- Manage assessments including reviews, moderation, intervention plans, and assessment rosters
- Plan and manage homework, reading levels, and revisions per grade
Extramural Activities
- Plan and coordinate extramural activities and educational outings
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Minimum Requirements
- BEd and/or PGCE in Foundation Phase Education
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a foundation phase teacher
- Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum
- SACE registration
- Clear criminal record
