Job Overview
The Export Sales Officer will oversee and grow cement exports to Mozambique, Comoros, Madagascar, and the broader Indian Ocean and East African corridors. The role focuses on developing strategic partnerships, managing client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring smooth cross-border operations and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement export sales strategies to expand market share in assigned territories
- Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, wholesalers, and large-scale buyers
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets; monitor KPIs for export markets
- Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and risks
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and transport teams for order fulfillment and timely deliveries
- Manage export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) and ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders
- Provide regular reports on market performance, customer feedback, and regional developments
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
- 3–5 years of export sales experience, preferably in cement, construction materials, FMCG, or heavy manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of cross-border logistics, international trade regulations, and export documentation
- Experience with Mozambique, Comoros, Madagascar, or other East African markets is highly preferred
- Languages: Fluency in English required; Portuguese and/or French is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned markets
