DRIVER II – 3 Positions
Employer: University of Dodoma (UDOM)University of Dodoma (UDOM) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill three (3) positions for the post of Driver II. The application period runs from 22 March 2026 to 04 April 2026.
The successful candidates will be responsible for driving institutional vehicles and ensuring proper maintenance and safety at all times. The duties and responsibilities include:
- Driving vehicles to approved destinations in accordance with traffic regulations
- Undertaking minor mechanical repairs
- Taking vehicles due for routine maintenance or repair to the appointed service agent
- Maintaining motor vehicle log books
- Conducting pre-inspection of assigned vehicles before travel and reporting any mechanical defects
- Ensuring safety and cleanliness of the vehicle at all times
- Ensuring valid documents and permits are obtained before any journey
- Reporting promptly any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle to relevant authorities
- A Form IV or VI Certificate
- A valid Class “C” or “E” Driving License
- A Basic Driving Course certificate from VETA or any recognized institution
- At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing any accident
- Trade Test Grade II/Level II in Motor Vehicle Maintenance/Mechanics will be an added advantage
