Available Position: Driver
Position Purpose
The Driver will be responsible for transporting employees safely around the mine site and surrounding areas as directed by the supervisor.Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors
- Follow all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and procedures
- Take responsibility for personal safety and that of others
- Conduct daily vehicle pre-start checks
- Drive according to road and environmental conditions
- Comply with all road rules both on-site and public roads
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of assigned vehicles
- Assist in other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of local driving conditions and road safety rules
- Experience in mining or heavy industry is an added advantage
- Experience operating specialized mining vehicles such as:
- Man Carrier Trucks
- Water Cart Trucks
- Service Trucks
- Valid Tanzanian Driver’s Licence (Classes C, C1, C2, C3, D, E)
- Basic First Aid knowledge
- Completed secondary education
- Advanced driving training certification
- Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
Essential Requirements
- Valid Tanzanian driving licence with ability to drive manual vehicles
- Basic First Aid skills
