ARTISAN II (PUMP OPERATOR) – 2 Positions​

Njombe Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (NJUWASA) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill two (2) positions for the post of Artisan II (Pump Operator). The application period runs from 22 March 2026 to 04 April 2026.

The successful candidates will operate and maintain water pumps, ensure water quality, and support the daily operations of the water supply system. The duties and responsibilities include:

• Operating water pumps according to agreed schedules and ensuring the correct quantity of water is pumped from storage tanks
• Monitoring water levels in storage tanks and dams
• Carrying out service and maintenance of water pumps, dosing pumps, water filters, and gate valves
• Monitoring electricity availability and recording power failures
• Ensuring the required dosage of chlorine or other chemicals is administered according to standards
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Applicants must meet the required qualifications to be considered for the position. Specifically, candidates should possess:

• Form IV Certificate
• Trade Test Grade II/Level II/NTA Level 5 in Pump Mechanical or Domestic/Industrial Electrical Installation from recognized institutions

The position offers a salary under the NWAS 2 scale, in accordance with the organization’s salary structure.
