ARCHITECT II – 1 Position
Watumishi Housing Investments (WHI) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill one (1) position for the post of Architect II. The application period runs from 22 March 2026 to 04 April 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing building projects, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with technical standards. The duties and responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analyzing clients’ requirements for building projects
- Advising on the need and scope of work for various technical services
- Organizing and arranging site visits and carrying out initial appraisals
- Collaborating with other technical teams to analyze and prepare outline proposals for building projects
- Preparing programmes and presentations of proposals for project team meetings
- Providing complete information and arranging tendering for projects as advised
- Preparing reports, schedules of work, and project correspondence, and seeking approval from the Senior Architect
- Conducting condition surveys of existing buildings
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned by superiors
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Architectural and Building Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
- Registration with AQRB or as a graduate Architect is an added advantage
