Job Purpose
The SOC Analyst will be responsible for detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. The role involves conducting in-depth investigations and ensuring all incidents are resolved effectively to maintain the bank’s security posture.Key Responsibilities
Security Monitoring and Analysis
- Analyze the bank’s security measures and assess effectiveness
- Monitor networks to prevent unauthorized access
- Identify intrusions and potential threats through event analysis
Incident Response and Investigation
- Launch and track security investigations until closure
- Differentiate between false positives and real threats
- Alert stakeholders about security breaches and vulnerabilities
Vulnerability Management
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and reporting
- Review configurations of SOC devices
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, advisories, and attack techniques
Technical Support
- Respond to inbound requests for technical assistance
- Support managed security services operations
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Postgraduate qualification in IT, Science, or Engineering
Professional Certifications (At least one required)
- ECSA
- CEH
- CCNA Security
- CompTIA Security+
- CISSP
- OSCP
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in SOC or Cybersecurity
- Strong knowledge of incident management and response
- Understanding of cyber threats, risk management, and security frameworks
