About the Role
The Security and Facility Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety of staff, customers, assets, and premises while also managing facilities, properties, and maintenance activities.The role combines security operations, property management, and project coordination to support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Security Management
- Implement security policies in line with company guidelines
- Conduct patrols and surveillance of premises
- Manage access control and visitor verification
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm systems
- Respond to emergencies such as fire or security incidents
- Maintain daily logs and incident reports
- Enforce safety and health procedures
- Provide customer assistance and directions
Property Management
- Support identification and leasing of premises
- Prepare maintenance plans and supervise property upkeep
- Manage space utilization and assets under company control
- Coordinate project implementation and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor project costs and performance
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions
Service and Maintenance
- Ensure servicing of equipment such as generators, air conditioners, and fire extinguishers
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure
Procurement and Reporting
- Support procurement planning and requirements
- Prepare monthly financial and variance reports (Capex and Opex)
- Track project expenditures against budgets
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in security or facilities management
- Experience in banking or financial institutions is an added advantage
- Experience in security, police, or military sectors is beneficial
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, and security technologies
- Strong communication skills (English and Kiswahili)
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to handle conflicts and emergency situations
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations (OSHA)
- Vendor and project management skills
- Physical fitness and alertness
Additional Requirements
- Clean criminal record
- JKT or Police training is an added advantage
