Job Purpose
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial and management reporting for both the bank and the wider Standard Bank Group. It also plays a key role in strengthening financial controls and ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare accurate financial and management reports
- Support quarterly financial publication processes
- Deliver high-quality reports to stakeholders
Governance and Compliance
- Reinforce financial controls and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Validate financial data to maintain accuracy and reliability
Financial Process Management
- Manage end-to-end financial processes
- Oversee intercompany transactions
- Monitor credit impairments and financial adjustments
Asset and Risk Oversight
- Maintain control over fixed assets
- Ensure proper accounting treatment and reporting
- Support risk identification and financial transparency
Decision Support
- Provide insightful financial data for decision-making

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting
- CPA qualification is required
Experience Required
- 1–2 years of experience in financial or management accounting
- Experience in financial/statutory accounting and reporting
