About the Role
The Issuing Clerk ensures the accurate issuance, documentation, and tracking of inventory items in accordance with company procedures. The role supports operational efficiency, proper stock control, and inventory integrity.Key Responsibilities
- Collect and issue goods following FEFO, LIFO, and FIFO methods
- Count, weigh, or measure items to match requisition quantities and obtain user acknowledgment
- Update ERP system daily for goods issued and returned
- Identify stock discrepancies, expired items, and recommend adjustments to the Inventory Operations Controller
- Ensure all issued goods have proper documentation, including gate passes
- Maintain secure control of special stock
- Prepare daily issue reports and follow up on outstanding issues
- Review and recommend improvements to issuing procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized issuing area and stores (5S methodology)
- Adhere to Kilombero Sugar policies including SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery guidelines
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
- 1–2 years’ experience in general stores or inventory management
- Strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders
- Computer literacy for ERP and reporting systems
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
