Job Overview​

About the Role​

This role requires a proactive and structured individual who takes full ownership of the finance function. It is not a typical corporate office environment—you will need to engage directly with operations and sales teams to resolve financial issues quickly and effectively.

You will be responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, improving processes, and ensuring the business operates efficiently from a financial perspective.

Key Responsibilities​

Finance & Reporting​

  • Oversee income statements and ensure accurate transaction recording
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and financial reports
  • Manage daily and monthly cash flow
  • Review and reconcile credit card transactions
  • Monitor daily bank statements

Reconciliations & Controls​

  • Reconcile Salesforce vs ERP systems daily
  • Review and approve creditor reconciliations (COD and term creditors)
  • Reconcile debtor accounts and issue weekly statements
  • Ensure daily allocation of cashbooks
  • Review Requests for Payment (RFPs) and Requests for Credit (RFCs)
  • Track capital expenditure and second-hand goods transactions
  • Ensure all supporting documents are accurate and complete

People & Operations​

  • Manage and lead a team of 4 finance staff
  • Provide daily structure, guidance, and prioritisation
  • Monitor debtor and creditor accounts for timely payments
  • Work closely with the sales team to resolve outstanding queries
  • Ensure administrative processes and procedures are followed

Minimum Requirements​

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting (minimum requirement)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance role
  • Experience in stock/inventory or product-based business (essential)
  • Strong Excel skills and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Added Advantage​

  • Experience in the automotive industry is beneficial but not mandatory
