The Economic Empowerment Project Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring economic strengthening initiatives. The role also focuses on gender-responsive programming, stakeholder coordination, and improving financial inclusion and employability among youth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning, Implementation, and Management (40%)- Support implementation of economic empowerment activities aligned with project plans and budgets
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual project reports
- Coordinate with partners, government, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements
- Build strong relationships with communities, partners, and public institutions
- Support project scope, scheduling, and cost management
- Design and implement gender-inclusive economic programs
- Conduct capacity building and training for partners and youth
- Facilitate market assessments and business plan development
- Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders
- Monitor financial inclusion and marketing-related project activities
- Track progress through field visits and stakeholder engagement
- Provide feedback and technical support to improve program delivery
- Develop resources for youth livelihoods and employability
- Promote entrepreneurship and job readiness among young people

Qualifications and Experience
Education:- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 5 years in economic strengthening or development projects
- Experience in donor-funded projects and project management
- Proven experience working with youth and community development programs
- Experience in capacity building and stakeholder engagement
