DRIVER GRADE II – 296 Positions​

MDAs & LGAs are inviting applications for 296 positions for the post of Dereva Daraja la II (Driver Grade II). The application period is from 22 March 2026 to 04 April 2026.

The duties and responsibilities for this position include:

• Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and operational readiness
• Driving employees to various work-related destinations
• Performing minor maintenance and repairs on vehicles
• Collecting and distributing various documents
• Recording and maintaining trip details in the vehicle logbook
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
• Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Completion of Form IV (O-Level) with a valid certificate
• Possession of a Class ‘C’ or ‘E’ driving license
• At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing accidents
• Attendance of Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any recognized institution
• Possession of training certificates qualifying for the respective driving grade

The position offers a salary under the TGS B scale.
