Job Overview
The Contract Supervisor will be responsible for administering and supporting contracts related to the supply of materials, equipment, and operational goods.The role ensures:
- Compliance with procurement policies
- Efficient contract execution
- Continuous supply for mining operations
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Management
- Ensure contracts are executed according to agreed pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Manage contract variations, claims, and non-conformance issues
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance
2. Procurement & Sourcing
- Support sourcing processes including RFQs and tenders
- Assist in supplier evaluation and selection
- Participate in commercial analysis and negotiations
3. Supplier & Risk Management
- Track supplier delivery timelines and quality standards
- Identify and escalate supply chain risks
- Promote development and use of local suppliers
4. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and audit requirements
- Support compliance with Tanzanian mining regulations and local content laws
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement
- Business Administration
- Commerce or related field
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in procurement or contract administration
- Experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry is highly preferred
Added Advantage
- Professional certification such as CIPS
