Job Overview
The Contract Compliance Supervisor will ensure all procurement, contracting, and logistics activities comply with:- Company governance policies
- Tanzanian regulations
- Tanzania Mining Commission (TMC) requirements
- Local content obligations
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance Monitoring
- Conduct regular reviews of procurement and contract activities
- Ensure adherence to governance policies and delegation of authority
2. Contract Oversight
- Verify that purchase orders above USD 100,000 are backed by approved contracts
- Monitor contract utilization to prevent exceeding approved limits
- Ensure timely submission of contract amendments requiring TMC approval
3. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure alignment with Tanzanian mining laws and local content requirements
- Track and report on local supplier participation
4. Logistics & Documentation
- Oversee compliance in logistics, importation, and statutory processes
- Ensure proper procurement documentation and audit readiness
5. Training & Support
- Provide guidance and training to supply chain teams
- Promote awareness of compliance standards and best practices
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Commerce
- Business Administration
- Law or related field
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in:
- Procurement
- Contracts management
- Compliance or governance
- Experience in mining or heavy industry is highly preferred
Added Advantage
- Professional certifications such as:
- CIPS
- Compliance or Risk Management certifications
