CLEARING AND FORWARDING OFFICER II – 1 Position​

Shirika la Posta Tanzania (TPC) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill one (1) position for the post of Clearing and Forwarding Officer II. The application period runs from 22 March 2026 to 04 April 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling shipping and clearance processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. The duties and responsibilities include:

• Sorting shipping and clearance documents collected from shippers and consignees
• Identifying necessary available and missing shipping documents for each assigned transaction
• Recommending on the completeness and accuracy of shipping documents received from shippers or consignees
• Recommending the appropriate HS Code for each shipment for customs declaration purposes
• Communicating with shippers or consignees regarding required or missing shipping and other relevant documents
• Drafting customs declarations for submission to the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA)
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Applicants must meet the required academic qualifications to be considered for the position. Specifically, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Freight Clearing and Forwarding from a recognized institution

The position offers a salary under the TPCSS 4 scale, in accordance with the organization’s salary structure.
